do it once and do it right. alpine deck, focal speakers, and a jl audio sub and amp. all will give you the best sound quality around. the sub i would go with would be a single 12" w3v3 with a 250/1v2 slash series amp. the focal speakers probably arent really needed though. go to a shop that sells jl audio and get it priced out though. the more you buy the bigger discount you typically get.

Chase I'd have to disagree with you. What he should do is go to a shop that sells sound equipment and ask to listen to whatever he likes and go from there. Different people like different sounds. I'd also recommend finding a few people that have the same or similar cars and listen to what they have

the enclosure decides the frequency output of the sub. the sub from jl i recommended will get the job done whether a person listens to rock or rap.

I wasn't referring to the sub but the whole recommendation in general

the guy was asking for what systems he thought was good. if you say "go to a place where they sell audio equipment" youre sending him to best buy probably. they dont sell good speaker equipment there. i was trying to give him a good idea of a good quality sound system. a lot of people go with cheap systems and they arent happy. thats why i gave good recommendations for good components.

Do they even have best buy in Colombia? Anyways, Daniel you should go to a place that sells quality speakers. Since I have no idea about Puerto Colombia, Colombia I can't recommend any place.

half of my family lives in USA i can buy stuff over there and have them mailed to my house also we have a lot of good car tuning and sound places over here... am talking of what good good set can i get for my car... i like electornic music i like to have bass but not to much to loosen my screws and shake all the car... what should i get?

yea chase is right jl and focal are the best. who ever is anounamous is for a reason they dont know what they are talking about. Everyone likes great quality and all the speaker sound the same its a speaker its not like your picking a color for paint where you pick what you like. Its all about quality!

Wow Fred, you are as stupid as you seem. Dude everyone hears differently. I'm not pulling this outta my ass, I get my info from places such as performance auto and sound or Audioheaven. You're telling me people like them are less informed in the tuning industry than you? Wow do you ever have a big ego. Alright Daniel, while Chase did make good suggestions it's up to you to decide whether you like something or not. If that was the best setup wouldn't every single professional run it and wouldn't all pros run it in audio competitions? Since you've got family in the USA you should go visit when you have a chance and check out what you can get. I run my stock honda tweeters with alpine component speakers a panasonic headunit with a fusion sub and amp and it has amazing sound clarity, it's got more than enough power for me to hear but it's not enough to make sure EVERYONE hears. Also in relation to the question, can a subwoofer loosen the screws in a car? no not even a competition level sound system will loosen the screws, it may blow the windows out but you will not destroy your car. My best friend used to be the demo guy for Memphis i think it was in Sudbury and he had a $13,000 dollar sound system in his subie. It easily pounded hard enough to make you unable to breathe and go deaf but not once did it loosen a single screw. So Fred before you go providing info make sure you can back your stupid ass up or STFU.

fyi, the key to great sound clarity starts with the head unit. make sure you get a quality piece. alpine is my favorite now. eclipse is NOT what they once were so i suggest staying far away from them now.

fun fun :) I have no idea if you guys even get em over there but i like kenwood atm. they havent done me wrong yet and i get good performance out of them. Also Alpine are excellent but a bit pricey iv found. still awesome. umm. subs n amps? well I like Kicker a lot. If that helps at all? Probably not. I dont care bout the rest of whats goin on here just lettin you know what I thinks alright maybe you should try em. I have Kenwood Headunit, 2x Kenwood Splits, 4x Alpine 6's, 2x Fusion 6x9's, A Kicker amp running a 15 inch Square Kicker Solobaric Subwoofer, and just a cheapo 1000watt amp running all the speakers. Its a random Mixup I know but it works for me really well with the right tuning so far and I listen to Deathmetal, RnB, Techno, Rock, whatever you name it. Anyway, may not have helped you, but maybe it'll give you some ideas?

Umm....dont get that sub though or anything similar....its goes the opposite way of the "wont break my car" requirements lol. my panelling is coming loose haha

i agree with Mike. there really is no determining what THE BEST sound system is... it's all just brand names, sure they're expensive and sh*t but it's really up to the owner...he should be the one to choose... oh and the suggestions, something that can put out nice bass, sound clarity and make sure theyre all COMPATIBLE... because if you start putting stuff that dont go together, here's the twist... you're car wont lose any screws but if the system is poorly made and wired, you might as well get a gallon of gasoline and light up that piece of crap sound system... then again, freedom of choice and number two, compatibility...
