Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Last month I had blown my engine due to late maintenance on my ' Ford F
150 2012 4x4 Super Crew . , I was with my father and we had the tow truck
come and pick up my truck . they had ordered an Engine from local salvage
at SGI and had installed the Newer used engine prior to taking out the old
engine which had ORANGE Coolant in it . about three weeks down the road
i had sprung a leak and noticed that it was GREEN coolant instead of the
Regular ORANGE .. i was wondering if my engine would leak due to this
because all of my coolant has drained and I am stumped to pour in more
GREEN coolant incase that was the Fault and I get the Blame for it , i havent
Started it since Sunday February 5 2018 . i have to say i am afraid of what
might happen if i put more green into the vehicle , does any body have any
idea as to where the coolant can be coming from ? , it looks like it has
poured out from the front end near the bottom . how may i go about
diagnostics for this dilemma ? , thank you very much ! .

All autos built after used a coolant made by Dow chemical that if and when it springs a leak it won't kill animals of the environment safe. That is DEXCOOL It was mandatory after 1992 in GM vehicles and the rest of the big manufacturers. Green coolant is Ethylene Glycerol, and is Green. The EPA ruled it be finished and only is produced for the cars and trucks built before 1990. FWIW, Dexcool is a better coolant as it has a high boil point and cools very quickly. And of course it is better on the cars cooling system the ethyl glycerol.
