Zx2 burning smell and smoke

My ford escort zx2 is a 2001 it has white smoke
coming from under the hood and smells like burnt
rubber what could this be? Seems to be smoking
on passenger side near the belt could it be the
belt?

Or locked up a/c compressor and or bearing.
