To introduce myself,my name is Steve from England, and hopefully in the next 6
months, I am emigrating to Seattle from England, having been offered a new job
as a company chauffeur with Bayview Limousine service in Tukwila.
I will be therefore looking for a good secondhand car, specifically, I am looking
at a 4 door Chevrolet, with a price range of between $20000_$6000, over a 5
year period, and would ask for your help and advice, please.
I am hoping to emigrate between July and September of this year.
Hi Steve, Cargurus doesn't sell vehicles. This is a listing ad site. Your best bet is to look over some cars you would be interested in. Fly into the US, get a place and get settled and look for a local vehicle from a local dealer/seller. I'm sure the company your work for would have some decent leads.
Once you get settled and see just how bad the traffic can get in that area, you may want to go with public transit for local travel and save you car for getting out of the city on days off or vacations. I have to make a few trip a year up in that area and dread the traffic from Olympia to 20 miles north of Seattle, but it doesn't bother some people to travel at 70 MPH with only a car length between vehicles, and the trucks I guess they don't know what the right lane is mostly for them, nope they use all of them and can cause quiet a hold up. Welcome to the Pacific Northwest.
Hi Steve, you should also be aware that most states require you to carry auto insurance on any vehicle, so factor that in to your budget. With a used car you can get by with liability insurance but with a new car you may be required to carry full insurance.
Hi Steve, my advice is don't buy a Chevrolet Product. If you want an American Car, get a Ford Product. HTH. -Jim
