Going narrower will have a detrimental effect on the carrying capacity of the truck not mention how it handles at highway speeds. The engineers have already figured what the minimum width should be and put it on the place card on the tire identification label. If you are determined to do this, go to a suspension shop and tell them what you want to do so they can advise you on what needs to be changed as far as suspension and steering geometry.
