02 Audi A4

I purchased an 02 Audi A4 and it drove
perfectly fine to my house then it died and
hasn't started since. I took it to one
mechanic and they basically told me the
engine was shot! Could it have drove that
nice for it to be bad the next day? It's not
the battery because the lights come on , it
seems like a firing issue! Any ideas?
