Question type: General

I have a 2004 Nissan sentra that I totaled the other
day. I have the chance to buy a 2000 Nissan sentra
cheap, but I need to know if I can pull my 1.8 out and
put it into the 2000 Nissan sentra that originally had
a 2.0 in it.

Not sure if it will drop in or not. But just a piece of advice: In Calif and some other States you can not put a used engine in a car from a donor car more than two years older than the model year of your car. Just trying to save you some money and grief if you are in Calif

The engine must be the same year or newer than the vehicle. My mistake. I know it was two years until 2012. http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/replace.htm

I'm in Kentucky, but thanks! Hopefully that will help someone that searches for the same answer!
