Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My RWD will only work in 4low. I was driving
when i heard a loud bang come from under
my jeep. Wouldnt move at all in any gear.
When i got it home i look underneath to see
my front driveshaft hanging near the
transfer case end. Had the front driveshaft
removed and before replacing i simply put
the car in 4w low then the rear shaft caught
gear. Why am i not getting any movement
while in 2wd?? Plz HELP!!

Fix the front drive shaft and the problem will probably go away. My guess is the transfer case is open in 4 high and it locks up the center diff in 4 low.

Fix the front drive shaft and see. Unless there is another problem it will work.
