Strange sound

Asked by GuruXG4N1 Nov 29, 2018 at 12:37 PM

Question type: General

After turning on the car if I take a sharp turn left
there will start a strange louder sound from the
engine. As if suddenly the engine had no silencer. It
continues for a few seconds more and disappears.
It is not the CV joint because if i brake and stop the
car pressing the clutch, the sound is still coming
from de engine.
Do you know what it might be?

You need to include the make model of car and engine type for your question.

So if you're stopped, with the engine running and clutch depressed, does the engine still make the noise? Does the noise stop if transmission is shifted into neutral? How about when clutch is let out? Does it do this only when the vehicle is moving?

In short: when the car is cold after a sharp turn it starts making the noise. Once the noise starts doesnt matter if you continue moving or if you stop with the clutch pressed...it will make that louder sound for a few seconds more and then stops.
