Were do you get your car fax?

Question type: General

Bought a Dodge truck from Sweetrides of
Greer that showed no problems reported
on it's cargurus page.  Only have it 3 weeks
and had to replace the ideal control valve.
Auto shop tells me that it looks like it is a
flood car.  So were do they get the vehicle
report from?

CarFax is an independent 3rd party, it can only report things that are voluntarily submitted or when a claim was made via insurance. It's not a guarantee a car is damage or problem free. A bad idle control valve isn't a big deal, it's a common part replacement. I would ask the mechanic if they could provide more insight on why they think car is a flood salvage though.
