2006 Yukon won’t start

After driving 150 miles and turning the Yukon off to
unload. Tried to restart after about 30 minutes later
all I got was a click down in the housing where the
starter is bolted too. The next morning after
checking battery and connections still would not
start. Just a click. After calling a tow truck I turned
the steering wheel hard right and rolling forward
about 10 ft got in turned key and it started. What
could be a cause ?
