Waste of time, no customer service

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I would not recommend this site to sell your vehicle. I have
had a car listed for a month, it was considered a great deal,
perfect add.. Ya da ya da. VERY few inquiries, most were
scams. I then upgrades to the "preferred" listing.. That was
a week ago. Not ONE additional view, I cannot even find it
on the site. I have emailed them 3 times for a refund and
have not heard a word. I would expect their car lots operate
the same way, so I will not be buying my new vehicle there.

I just googled some reviews in search of these type of comments. I have about had it. So many people wasting your time, scheduling to meet, making offers and not ever getting a response back. From not 1 out of over 15 interests were reliable and truly communicated with grace and respect. I am starting to think that these are kids making offers. Or at least, I would hope but in a few cases I was called to schedule to meet up, then I ended up waiting with the person asking me to wait a while longer to then entirely disappear from the surface of the earth. CarGurus should start paying me for the time wasted responding to these non verified people that registered and are allowed to make an offer. At the very least, CarGurus can come up with a feature that if you make an offer you should be ID confirmed and are serious about the offer you just submitted. It would help us people who try to sell our car privately not to waste so much time on these fickle people who never take the time to respond back. I have one local lady, I was able to confirm that she is indeed who she claims to be, but she had no clue which car she had put an offer on and had no clue she had put an offer in but was going to talk to her credit union now. Anyhow, I can write a few Chapters with CarGurus experiences. Mind boggling say the least and very time consuming, at the end of the day, trying to sell your car on CarGurus comes with a taste of disgust and aggravation. CarGurus should at the very least verify members who put in offers on cars, have them to agree not to frivolously communicate, confirm offers, or harass the seller in any shape or form. That does not take to be of decent IQ abilities to understand, there's a bit of common sense needed here. Unbelievable, most of these people have no respect for someone's time!!!
