Epc light

I went to take off my 03 Jetta 2.0 gls 5
speed revved up then idled down and was
fine went to take off and when I hit the gas it
did nothing noticed my epc light was now on
put it on a computer showed code p2138
throttle/pedal position sensor switch D/E
voltage correlation put a new peddle on the
car and didn't help at all any idea what my
problem is

Basically saying the correlation between the foot pedal and tps on the throttle body assembly are not matching... one of them is either not getting the proper voltage it needs to run OR is faulty internally.... look up videos on how to backprobe a tps sensor on the throttle body to get the return voltage back to the computer... id do the same with the foot pedal
