Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1995 Ford explorer and when I was driving
it one day with a trailer on it it just stopped driving
when I came up to a stop light. It goes into reverse
but it will not drive in any other gear. I did find out
not to long ago that if I put it in second and get the
rpm's around 3000 that it will very slowly pick up
speed. I checked the fluid and it was very low but
then I filled it and it still has not fixed the issue. Any
ideas on what it could be?
