01 pontiac grand am

My dad has a 01 grand am. We just replaced the
alternator and battery about 2 months ago and the
positive and negative wires as well, There is
coolant in the cantaner but the abs and battery
light come one shortly after the car reaches a
certain temp then dies shortly after that.
