2007 Mini Cooper s turbocharge

Looking at a used mini and the guy tells me it uses
oil he checks it every 2-3weeks and adds 1/2 qrt
which he say is usual for 2007-2011 and all minis
use some oil ??

My daughter-in-law has a 2010 Mini and it does not use any between oil changes. How many miles on this one?

75k when does the timing chain need to be changed in these cars

I don't know exactly when, it is a matter of good maintenance and a "bit of luck". But I have seen Minis timing chain lasting close to 200,000 miles. I think that 75k is fine for a car with 8 years. If the price is right, be sure to have a mechanic check it before you give any money.
