Can I trade in current car if value higher that car i want

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

My Subaru Forrester is  $23,000. I want a Toyota FJ
cruiser that is listed at $18,000. How do I make a
trade in work.

Yeah, sell the Subaru yourself, then use the money to buy the FJ. If you try to trade it in for a lower-cost vehicle you will just get seriously hosed.
