2009 Toyota Corolla LE
I have 09 Corolla LE with 244k miles. Body
and interior are in really good shape. It's
been garaged since I bought it. All the
miles are freeway miles. Everything works
great on the car. The check engine light
went on and I began to hear a rattle. I took
it to my mechanic and he told me one of
cylinders was is losing compression and
misfiring. It's not a coil and something
mechanical inside the engine. He
suggested do 3 things, sell it, run it until it
dies or have the engine rebuild/replaced.
Asumming the costs to place the engine
would be 2-3k, would it be worth it to fix
the car? Only issue with the car is the
engine, everything else is clean.
you are the original owner ? I think it's done and it don't owe you anything get what you can for it and move on unless you really like it but after the motor is replaced you might have one thing after another go bad
If you still love driving it, then go for the repair. Car is worth $2000 wholesale.
