Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just changed the ignition switch in my 2003 ford
Taurus.  Previous owner had lost the original keys.
Now it won't start and the theft lock light comes
on. What's going on?

Just the switch or the lock cylinder? Sounds like you replace the lock cylinder and have new keys? If so, the keys have a transponder chip in them and they need to be programmed to the vehicle. You need a mechanic or dealership that has the equipment to do so. Sorry, but you will have to have it towed to the garage.
