Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix
3.6L automatic
140k miles

I drove my car to work this morning, No problems.
I get into my car at the end of my shift start to leave
normally and my car slammed into first gear i stop
at a stop sign and when I go to pull away
transmission slips until I get to speed and it shifts
into 2nd no problems so my transmission slips only
in first gear all other gears have been fine I get
Home to check to see if I need to add tranny fluid
and can’t find a dip stick how do I check the fluid
level and how do I add if needed

there may be just a cap to remove and if the fluid is up to that point it's full , so I've heard , get a little on your finger and see if it smells burnt , any work or anything added to it lately ?
