Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A C throws out heat. I bought a 2016
Nissan Rogue and everything works
fine for the first four or five months.
Then the AC unit kept throwing out
Heat. I thought it was me hitting the
wrong button. But then I noticed it
wasn't me, it was the car acting up.
Now it's been doing it every month
acting up throwing out heat when I
have the AC on. I'm at the dealer right
now trying to get it fixed. This is an
ongoing issue and I really like the
Nissan and the mileage it gets per
gallon. I'm also not happy that the
resale has dropped dramatically.
Pretty soon my old car be worth more
than my new car

Sorry to hear of your troubles. You probably have a leak in one of the cooling system hoses that is allowing your freon gas to escape. The dealership should do a leakdown test with dye to determine if you do have a leak. As for the resale, well, depreciation hits us all unfortunately. There are a ton of used Rogues on the market right now, and supply controls demand, which controls price. Don't fret too much on it. You bought it to drive and enjoy, so make sure you do! Best of luck to you!

Your car should still be under warranty so take it to your Nissan dealer for repairs. Be aware that the Nissan CVT has a lot of problems so you may want to sell your car while it still has a warranty.
