Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In April was told I needed a.c. compressor. I
had it replaced and was told I would be
freezing in summer. June came and needed
a.c., but it didnt work on both driver and
passenger side. They said it was the flaps
that regulate whether hot or cold air comes
out. They said 800 to fix it. I just spent 800
between compressor, a water pump, n some
other minor item in April! So they told me for
160 they could jam the flaps temporarily to
only allow cold air to be released. Only that
didn't work either! So on my third trip...after
a hot summer was well underway...they tell
me I had a Freon leak. Now it's cold and I
have no heat. What can I do? And where is
this piece located on my car?
