Did you complete your sale through CarGuru ? I am going through same thing; priced under mkt in high demand area for popular car. Very confusing. 0 follow up on inquiries.
Gurus definitely generates fake emails solely to keep dealers interest to justify their I pricing. ZIP codes in these emails are always in outlying areas from where you live. Even if you offer something for free they never get back to you. I have tried this several times

Fake emails or not ? But we get emails we never get replies from senders. Perhaps you are right . We are frustrated by these non responsive emails. Dealers need to raise this issue. Sooner than later share their experiences with each other. We need to find a solution for it.
Yes , fake offers and fake emails. Suddenly 4 offers at the end of my listing expiration, not a coincidence and no one replied back. Technically it is a fraud and illegal should be investigated by law enforcement agencies
I counter offered below the offering price, and guess what no response, of course it is a fake website. It proves it’s a scam and fraud by dealers and should be reported to law enforcement agencies
I TOO have run into this problem several times! I am 100% convinced that CarGurus has FAKE listings and even sends fake messages. I am selling a car, and they send fake messages to me...where nobody replies back. This site is apparently a scam. I am reporting it to the State Consumer office. I am a tenured law enforcement officer and will get to the bottom of this fraud.
some of the offers I receive are word for word, punctuation for punctuation, exactly the same from different ppl.
I am receiving the same canned messages with stupid questions that can be answered by reading the listing. This website is a fraud.
Most definitely they send fake messages. Most are sent between midnight and 5 o'clock. Never a response back. All fake.
They are absolutely generating fake messages. I received 11 messages at random times. After I reply they never responded back. This is absolutely an unfair deceptive abusive acts and practice (UDAP) violation under the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). I wonder why nobody has investigated this yet?
