Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi.  We are planning on buying a
2007 Toyota Solara convertible
with 125,000 miles.  Is it worth
buying an $1100, 3 year warranty
from Carmax?

For piece of mind Only. I'd put the $1100 in a savings account and use it for when you need it for repairs. Most 3rd party warranties only cover certain things, and you have to fight with the adjuster to it to actual cover something.

Read the warranty first. I bet it excludes a lot on such an old car.
