Car misfiring and burning gas and has no power
Year, make and model would really help. As with any internal combustion engine, you need good spark, adequate fuel air mixture, and compression to run, loose any one of those and it won't fire up. So run a compression check, if the compression in good then check spark plugs, if worn repalce them, if the vehicle has plug wires and they have never been repalced, do so along with the cap and rotor, if old enough repalce the points and condenser. Now if the compression is low or nonexistent on one or more cylinders then it's time for some engine work. Now assuming that everything above is good or has been recently done then you need to check for vacuum leaks if carbureted or fuel injected, also check the fuel pressure and flow, two different ratings, one for carburation the other for injection, find out what you have and use that rating, also if injected you should test for leak down of the fuel pressure, if it drops too fast you have leaking injectors, and that requires replacing the injectors. A bit abbreviated I know but you get the jest of it.
