Honda acty timing

Asked by John Aug 30, 2017 at 03:17 PM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Honda acty that a customer
brought not starting. My investigations
revealed that it was a broken timing belt. It
bent valves in the process. Got new valves
and timing belt. Timing mark is clear on the
crankshaft but not on the camshaft! Please
help

Hi Guys! Just an update on the Honda Acty. I eventually got it going through "trial and error" This is a 3 piston engine and its 120 degrees spaced. There are small indentation on the camshaft pulley that must line up with cylinder head/camshaft cover surfaces. Once that is done you are home and dry. Thanks
