2003 SLs were supposedly plagued with issues and some held over to 2004. Issues seemed to be abated by 2005. But typically if you find an 03 that is solid and has no electrical issues after all these years it's been fixed. Check seats, comfort controls, and command console closely. I'm sure there are other models and years and I've heard of issues with some newer models, but they seemed to be more specific to a short period manufacturing time than a specific model. Many manufacturers have issues with the first year or two of a newly introduced design. Whatever model you are looking at research the forums, etc.
