Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 pt cruiser. Have changed rad
cap, hoses and thermostat and pressure is
good. Coolant flows to overflow but not
back to rad when cool. Car will overheat
when I drive for like 3+ hours at highway
speed

Have a new one and according to the computer at part store it's for this car and was the only one listed

A leak in the system will cause the cooling system not to develop the vacuum necessary to pull the coolant back into the radiator. https://jimdinner.wordpress.com/2012/07/09/radiator-caps-explained/
