what happens when you remove the catalyst converter from a 2006 dodge ram 1500 4x4??
A lot of exhaust noise.
does it affect the engine?
It may not run correctly.
you wont pass emissions
if they "sniff " the tailpipe you won't pass emissions , if they require all smog equipment you'd have to hollow one out , don't inhale , if you don't have problems with O2 sensors/codes and the like then it'll run a little better , if you're worried about extra pollution then shut down drive thrus , whats the worst that can happen you'll have to buy the thing anyways ?
You will also fail the visual inspection. There is NO reason to remove the cat unless if plugs up.
