Agree as long as its not a Ford Explorer, Tempo, Focus, Escort or Taurus. I say the Taurus because if you do not stay on top of the trans maintenance it will bit you back, otherwise its a great car.

Main thing is do preventive maintenance on top of the regular maintenance and do not let items like timing belt go over on mileage. Re search each car you like fully as some of the best cars have issues per certain year models I would stay away from like the early mid 2000's Honda Accord & Civic Auto trans models (around 2002) buy those in manual trans. The CRV is great until the engine fails which they do way to early.

Do not buy German made or most GM. Unless you know for sure you researched it fully and know what to expect. No Cobalts, No Cruze, No Grand Prix, No Grand Am, No Lincoln, No Jeeps, No Dodge. No German made I repeat( Subaru, VW, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Opel, Maybe a Porsche and older models if taken car of=Pre 90's) not mater what Markie1952 says.

Oh yea stay away from Hybrids and the Toyota Prius, The most reliable/economical will be the Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic. Toyota, Honda, Ford Trucks & some cars they make, Japanese made otherwise.
