Should I report the accident to my car insurance?

Asked by Guru9MLRX Jul 24, 2017 at 03:51 PM

Question type: General

I have just rear ended someone and the cost of
repair for his car will range from 1000-1500. My
deductible is 500. The problem is I just got another
at fault accident about 3 weeks ago. If I report it to
insurance about this one as well, what will happen?

1. will it look bad and increase my premium even
more next time since both happened so soon? In
that case I want to settle outside of insurance

2. Or will the insurance company do it anyway
because I already has one at fault accident on file
and I might as well report this one too?

I haven't had any accident for almost 8 years since I
got my license, this is just a very bad month for me
with a lot going on. Please do not leave hate
comments. I just want to hear people with similar
experiences.

Don't report it and don't accept fault if you can avoid it as that will raise your premiums for a long time. your better off paying out of pocket for the damage to the other car.

Pay for their damages but if there was a police report your insurance will find out anyway.

Just have the guy sign a release in full if you give him money. I am sure you can find a form online.
