Why does my 09 silverado z71 miss while accelerating causing traction control light to come on but light goes out when u punch it

There is a possibility that you have it the other way around. The traction control may be causing the miss. If one of the wheel speed sensors are failing and not reading at low speeds. It may signal the traction control computer to kill engine cylinders to reduce wheel spin. When you punch it you might be getting wheel speed up fast enough to not trigger the traction control.
