Really depends on your desires.... Personally, I would not spend any money on trying to obtain this car...WHY?? Well, I had a 1970 VW, brand new and later a 1978.... also new.... VWs are not good cars... The 70 through a rod, transmission went bad and a whole lot of other problems ... I sold my car in 1974 and was glad to get rid of it. You're looking at a car that has been sitting around for almost 30 years.... think about that, that's an eternity...in a car's lifetime... Even if you told me that it only had 10,000 miles, I still would say skip it at any price....the internal components of the engine are probably rusted as well as the transmission and other critical components. Don't even get me started on the non-safety components.... let's just say the car is unsafe.. period. Forget this and save yourself lots of time unless you want to open a museum....

$300 is a low ball offer. Try advertising it for $2,000 but if you get it running good you might get twice that.
