2000 ford f - 250 v -10

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My transfer case will not disengage had the
acsuator replaced, then transfer case replaced
now I'm being told its the gen unit any ideas would
be appreciated thanks

Gem units do fail but not very often, make sure the wiring has been double checked as there is a known problem right where the transfer case harness comes through the body, it flexes right there and causes the wires to break, have seen about a dozen of these in my area, and other shops have seen them too.

Yep, on some it's really obvious and on others you have to rip it completely apart and stress each indivual wire to find it or them. Glad it worked out.
