I have a 2002 grand marquis it drives and
runs there is a knocking noise in engine
what could cause this?

let you gas get low then put premium gas in ... if the knocking stops then chances are you have a carbon buildup on the piston.. if it doesn't than a rod or wrist pin may be the cause ...
