Car booking And cancellation

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

If u select a second hand car and pay the booking
amount. After few days you give half of the asked
price for that car through online payment but as u
go for the delivery for the car the same day, u find
that the car is not as good as was expected. U
cancel the deal and ask for the refund. U give them
a written request for the cancellation, they inform u
that the refund less the booking amount will take
7- 10 working days and will be given through only
cheque. I want to ask if it is normal to take so
much time in refund or the dealer is just making
me fool and want to steal my money.

Normally once you put down a deposit on a vehicle it's yours. Some States do now have a three day "cooling off" period which allows you to back out of the deal. But the clock starts running when you put down the deposit. HTH. -Jim

Never buy a car sight unseen.
