Always start with the simplest fixes. Check you fuses, fuel, fuel filter for clogs, battery condition, however it sounds fuel related not getting fuel. good luck.

there is a high pressure pump after the fuel filter that goes to the fuel rail on that pump is a cap unscrew it and you'll see a valve like on a tire. This is where the fuel pressure is checked. To see if you have air in the fuel line just bump the started leave the key on push the valve in be careful it's fuel, if air comes out that can be the problem, it needs to push out fuel only. I'm assuming fuel filter is clean with no water. If you have no luck the fuel pressure needs to be checked. have a friend or someone with a pressure gauge check your fuel pressure. I'm also assuming you checked for any related fuses being popped. codes on the truck need to be read with a diagnostic scanner first if possible. Bleeding the valve may work out an air lock. If that doesn't work scan codes is a must and so is the fuel pressure check. this will help you know if you need to spend the money on a fuel pump.
