E46 problem

Hey guys I have a 2003 325xi and I been
noticing that after driving my engine feels
very hot. I checked the temperature on the
dash and it reads 095. Is that a normal
temp for a 45 min highway ride?

Why does the engine feel very hot then and takes a long time to cool down after driving?
