1982 F150

1982 F-150 4x4 300 I-6/4spd 140k miles .
It has a new OEM carb.
Should I have to pump the pedal to get it started
first thing in the morning?
Then it starts up right away the rest of the day.

Just one pump on the gas pedal to set the choke. Sounds like you need to check the choke setting.
