My 2000 grand am 3.4l v6 only starts when I have
more then half a tank of gas if it falls below half it
won't start at all.I checked the relay the fuse I can
hear the pump kick in..my check engine light is
off..I hooked up my odb reader nothing..no
code..so I don't know what it is..
Maybe there is a problem with the fuel pickup.
Your gas gauge may be not be accurate. How many gallons does it take to fill up from the halfway mark when you can't start it? You have a 15 gallon tank. If it takes that much, or close to it, to fill up the gas gauge is not reading correctly. HTH. -Jim
