StallING and surging

Question type: General

I have an audi a4 1.8t and it had codes for the
crank sensor and cam sensor so I replaced them
but it still stalls some if I Rev it up??

Does it sound like a V-engine and a strange smell comes from the exhaust (not like usual - the gasoline smell or exhaust gases?). The timing is chain or belt driven? In any case, check the timing!!! It could be a jumped tooth.
