What year and model do you have, FOUR cylinder or SIX cylinder? When did you last service your car. What's the weight of the TAB trailer??

The minimum dry weight without any gear is 1,760 pounds...Have you figured out what your total weight is ? I have a teardrop trailer and pull my car with a 2010 Subaru Outback Limited 2.5 FOUR cylinder and I get 21 mpg. What do you mean by poor fuel efficiency?? My trailer is around 1,000 pounds fully loaded. If I were towing your TAB, I would definitely want the H6... You can technically tow 2,700 pounds, but, I like to have a little extra headroom on power.

Dootsie- IF you're pulling more than 90 percent of capacity, over 2,400 pounds fully loaded with the 2.5 FOUR cylinder, I think you may have problems long term. Just my opinion.
