2006 PT Cruiser

My PT Cruiser has since I got him used, will
just not start? Nothing..I wait a few min. & it
eventually start. More recently the heater
quit working & my husband had to out
24quarts of oil in it in 2 days before he
started dying while driving it. Would putt-putt
& die freeze up the steering. I pulled over &
fought to get him started & tried to get
home, he would start to try to die when I
slowed down or stopped. Got it home & he's
dead..we found a crack in the radiator,
replaced it but it still won't stay running nor
does the heater work? What else could it
be??

24 quarts of oil in two days? That must be some kind of record. I think it is time for a new car.
