I Have just won a bid on a 1st gen Dodge Viper motor
never mounted STILL has factory tags it was an
overstock. Is it remotely possible to put it in a 78-79
Monte Carlo.

Remotely. You might have to move the fire wall back and it will cost you a bundle to do the conversion. Measure the engine bay to get a better idea.
