Asked by Dj1955 Oct 16, 2016 at 07:09 PM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It cranks fine and idles, but after driving for a few
miles it gets sluggish and looses spread when I
accelerate, have changed fuel filter, and that did
not help.

Do not know if this is your problem or not but I had a 91 Ford F-150 and it was doing the same as your vehicle after doing a lot of guess work replacing parts come to found out the rubber gas line that connects to the steel gas line that runs along the frame going to the fuel tank connection was collapsing after a few miles of driving then once it set for a few minutes would go back to normal size or you may have some in the gas tank being sucked onto the sock filter in the gas tank then is released when suction stops then works its way back onto the sock filter when vehicle is running again. May not be your problem but worth looking into.
