Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I gave my son in the Navy a 2007 Lexus IS
250 with 125k on it. It up to 140k and been
running great. It just started sputtering with
accellerate. Fuel injection?

Maybe. Try checking for trouble codes. Sputtering could be fuel pump, dirty filter, dirty injectors. If you plan to keep it, give it a tune up (new plugs/wires), clean all the filters and sensors (maf/map) TPS, check/clean PCV & EGR. When you have the plugs out check their condition for carbon buildup.
