95 lincon town car

A round counter weight came off car almost
looks like a leaf spring end that goes to
shackel but its solid steel and i cant find
where it came from at time it happened car
shook but now few days later car drives fine
but steering wheel off center what is the
weight thing and where does it go please

The only counter weights you have are on the wheel rims. Maybe you have a bushing or a stamped part of some sort. (a pic would really help) Tie rods would be the leading cause of an off-center steering wheel, maybe your car took a good whack an is out of alignment.

If the steering wheel was straight before this happened you may have a serious issue with something in the front suspension or steering linkage. Get it to a mechanic immediately.
