ALTERNATOR IS BAD ON A NISSAN

why the question?........is the light shaped like a battery coming on?........is ur lights dimming or extremely bright? or ur speedometers and tachometers simply stop working for no reason?.........is there any burning smell?........does ur battery go dead every time u try to start the car?........
