Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I thought CPO cars could only be certified and sold by their actual
manufacturer/dealer, though this car came up under a CPO search:

"There are no industry standards in place for certified pre-owned programs, so some caution should be exercised when shopping for a vehicle. These cars are sold by new car dealers and typically represent used cars that have the manufacturer standing behind them carfax." 2007 Chevrolet Silverado Classic 1500 I agree should be from a Chevrolet dealer, probably wholesaled from a Chevrolet dealer and never changed the carfax report. I suggest contacting Chevrolet for an explanation.
