Question type: Maintenance & Repair

On a 01 Chevy pickup with a v6: you have to
turn it over and left off two or three times for
it to start. It idles fine but is hesitant to rev
up and won't hardly go if its in gear. The fuel
filter is new. The fuel pump is pumping a full
stream when you turn the motor over. I have
no way of checking pressure of the fuel
pump. Is there any other way to diagnos the
pump besides checking the pressure and is
there anything else that would cause the
motor to do these things?

More than likely a fuel issue, and you are going to need a fuel pressure gauge to determine the problem.

May just have dirty injections add some fuel injector cleaner to gas tank then take vehicle out on to road and hit the passing gear a few times this will help clean out the gum and carbon build up in engine.
